writes: About a week ago, I had my period. (This is nothing new to me). My period lasts generally 3-4 days at most, then has a day of a little bit of darker, old blood (from old periods. not concerned since this is normal.) However, one of the days, I left a tampon in all day because I forgot about it. I put a new one in the next morning, but I seriously can't remember if I took the other one out. (I can't shake the feeling it's still in there.)Now, I haven't had any discharge or funny smells, but this morning i was hit with a completely out-of-the-blue case of dizziness, nausea, and cramping that confined me to bed/bathroom all day. (not painful cramping, but more of an uncomfortable feeling in my abdomen) Worried that this may be signs of TSS or something, I checked to see if the tampon was up there. (I have no idea if I caught something at school, or if it's related.)If it was the case that I forgot to take it out and put another in, my fingers would probably be too short to reach it. But I did feel *something*. After inserting two fingers as far as I could, starting by my first knuckle (closest to nail)I felt a sort of bulge. At first I thought it was the tampon, but upon investigation, I decided it felt more like skin than tampon, and wasn't going anywhere. It felt almost like the tampon was caught under a flap of skin, but I'm not sure if it even is a tampon. (and I'm pretty sure there is no flap for it to get caught under in the first place.) It was fairly soft feeling, maybe close to the size of a marble but I'm not sure.I am sexually active, but I am positive it is not an STI/STD of any sort, as neither myself nor my boyfriend ever had a history or anything, and we have both only been with each other. My question is, what could the bulge be? If there is a chance that it *is* a tampon that got stuck, how can I get it out? (My boyfriend can help if need be, but I can not go to the doctor unless it is an emergency. I have no health insurance and it would be too expensive to pay out of our pockets.) Or if it is related to bowel movements, or it it is just normal, I have no idea.

Just to clear up, I did not make the title of this question. My abdomen was uncomfortable as I wasn't sure if it was sore near my uterus or if it was just diarrhea soreness.
The little bulge is inside my vagina, fairly far back, and is smaller today than it was yesterday. I am also not feeling at all sick any more (this was posted last night.) I think it was just because of the upset stomach/diarrhea or something, and I do know it's not life threatening..

Go to http://plannedparenthood.org and use their doctor finding tool. They can help in finding a low cost or free clinic for those unable to pay.
You got some good advice here. I hope you find out what things are! Good luck.

Having said that its still best to get it checked out incase you have left a tampon in. Put money aside for doctors appointments and use pads as they are easier to remember to change x

TSS can be fatal so if you have any reason to suspect that is what you have then what are you doing on here waiting for people to guess. Get to a doctor.

That does not sound normal to me, if you're having trouble forgetting to take out tampons I would use pads, leaving a tampon in all day is probably no a good idea. You should go to the health department, if you're in college they probably have a health center, because it could possible be serious. Bulges in your abdomen are not normal if you're not pregnant.
Doctors do not expect you to pay right then and there, you can always set up payment plans.
