wash your vagina then pay attention to the smell the next time that you have vaginal discharge.it could be your discharge that is smelly and not your actual vagina. If that is the case you could have bacterial vaginosis. This is very simple to fix once you go to the doctor and is nothing serious. But it won't fix itself, you need antibiotics and sorry to tell you but I have heard that the medicine is digusting. Good luck

If you are sexually active, more than likely you have contracted an STD. Please visit your physician immediately. It will not go away by itself and it could cause permanent damage if left untreated. You will need to be on antibiotics to clear it up. Good luck.

On the more minor side of things, take a wash cloth and some non-deodorant soap (I use yellow dial) and some warm water and washe around your clitoris and the clitoral hood, and the inside of your labia (inner and outer). The problem may simply be that well, you're not very clean down there and it's become time to take better care of your pubic area.
Does it smell kinda sour or well, cheezy? Your problem is your panties. Especially if you're wearing them for more than a day or if you're wearing a thong all the time with tight jeans. There's no ventilation going on, so as your vagina naturally cleans and discharges, it's staying wet and grows bacteria which make it smell.
Solution: Wash yourself well and rinse completely with a non-deodorant soap. Any leftover soap will make you itch and smell fishy. Stay away from perfumed douches, lotions, prays, or scented tampons. BTW, tampons can make you smell a little bit from the strings cotton fibers getting into nooks and crannies. Like I said, just wash well at least once a day. Wear cotton panties vs. thongs and looser jeans. Make sure you pat yourselve dry when wiping instead off dragging the toilet paper over your vagina as this will prevent TP from getting into those nooks and crannies I mentioned. Always wipe front to back and NEVER back to front.
If this doesn't help, see a doctor. Good luck.

Yep, yeast infection. Welcome to the wonderful world of womanhood. We all get them. Eat less sugar, wear cotton underpants, don't use strong perfumed soaps or detergents, and eat LOTS of yogurt. The acidopholis in yogurt will make a yeast infection go away with no medication. Anibiotics will also cause yeast infection, so if you are on those, ask your docter for an antifungal too. I have only had a few yeast infections, but I always heal it with a sugar free diet, and yogurt. Good luck!
