I have a lot of friends but I feel we are growing apart slightly and I want to make new friends. Because I live in a small town I know alot of people but I wouldn't class them as friends, they're more like acquaintances. However, on Facebook if I try to spark up conversation with them by sending messages I either don't get a reply or just a one line reply. I don't want to keep messaging them as I will feel like a stalker. But I'm too shy to just come out and say Hey do u wanna be my friend? So what is the coolest and most easiest way to make friends?

Ah facebook. I got a lot of people from school trying to add me and I really don't know why since we weren't friends at the time.
Have a facebook cull and delete people who are just there for the sake of it but you wouldn't go over and chat to if you saw them in town.
Next, get out into that town and look at what's available. Is there a community radio station, an am dram group, something to volunteer at, a writers group, a cricket club.
Get online and find new places to go and new people to meet rather than just picking over the remains of people you used to know.
Good Luck!! xx
