Yes, this jab basicaly means it will protect you against HPV, and if you already have had sex, you may already have it, but they reccomend you get the jab anyway, just in case.
I got that off the NHS website, i was interessted too, I have been hearing all sorts of crazy rumors, like its ok if you have only had sex with one person, and that person has only had sex with you- mad! :) x

Are you talking about the HPV vaccine? This prevents the human papilloma virus which is the causative organism of genital worts, which in turn can cause cervical cancer, there is no vaccine that guarantees to protect from all strains of cervical cancer yet.
If you have had unprotected sex before having the HPV jab it would be worth having a sexual health screening to make sure you don't already have HPV.
