Previous times i have worn it, but for once i dont want to. Also this time hardly anyone is wearing it.I will carry on wearing one, but i dont know how to tell my mum i dont want to wear it for that one day. Plus i will be going out afterwards, so i will not have a scarf on in public and im worried my mum might mind. What excuse can i give?

It winds me up when people pick at others about religion.
This is why I don't go to church. I was raised Christian. I believe in God. But I had the worst experiences going to church. I don't believe that in order to be classed as a Christian, I have to go to Church every Sunday. I received alot of grief from others at the Church I used to go to over this. But I'll believe whatever I want to, in the way that I want to.
Don't wear your scarf if you don't want to. Be aware that if your Mum finds out, no she probably won't be very happy. But when I was 15, I was rolling my skirt up when I got to school, and unrolling it when I got home.
Be your own person, believe how you want to, and what you want to.

Don't be influenced by those around you and the need to fit in, it's the start of a slippery slope.

As far as your mother goes, wear your headscarf when you leave the house in the morning and take it off when you're out of sight of her. Put it back on before you get home.
Have you seen these kids tucking their shirt tails in as they enter the school premises and pulling them out as soon as they leave the school gates? The same logic applies.
