writes: so i am at the fair and one of the guys in a band was i think checking me out because he was playing the trumpet in front of my friend and i. so he turns around, starts playing the trumpet right at me, gives me a head nod and "the look". you think that ment he was into me? so then my friend and i follow the band because we are looking for our other friends, and he kept doing it. so later i wanted to get a picture, so i say, "hey #44" then i make the picture sign. so then some one else says, she wants a picture. then he says to me,"good thing its on a cell, that way you can prove you were really here." so we take the picture and out of no where, my friend comes up to him and says, "she wants your number." i about flipped out in embarresment. i honestly was really mad at her. then he says 1-800- ___-__ (not going to say his name, privicy issues) so i asked my two guy friends about it, one of which is one that I kind of like and likes me (in a previous thread), he said that it was shallow and mean. he also said that a true nice guy would give you his real number, come up with a 7 digit name or flat out say no. did he seem jealous? on the other hand the second guy i asked said that he did like me and that he must tell other girls that. what do i do? do he like me? What should I have done? Please help me! My mind is totally spinning. Please answer all questions.

He gave you a fake number - Sorry love, but I'd say that's a fairly good indicator that he's not interested. And giving a fake number /is/ a pretty rotten thing to do, your friend was right about that one.
Just because he was playing the trumpet at you doesn't mean he was into you - he's a performer, he probably does it to a lot of girls.
There's not a lot you could have done. You can't /make/ people like you.
Don't fret about it, just move on.
