Basically, I have heard about romantic love and I have also heard people talking about being 'romantically fond' of a particular person. What does the term 'romantically fond' when referring to emotional feelings actually mean. Is this just a different way of feeling the emotion that people call love, or is it simply a sign of having an adult crush?I am a single man, aged fifty-five, and I have these 'romantically fond' feelings for a particular lady, and during the last few weeks have started to feel slightly "smitten" with her. Is this the beginning of love? Thanks.

My impressions of "romantically fond" is that you like a person more than just as a one-time deal. You like them enough to be more than friends and would consider having a relationship with them. I don't know about the begninning of love, everyone has their own definition and feeling of love, that would be for you to decide.
