 Love Buddy means to be intimate with the person without having complete sexual intercourse. Being all over the other person, hugging them, holding them, goin on some romantic dates. But you know that due to some reasons they come with a expiry date and you would have leave them. So you just try to resist yourself to be emotionally involved with them too much. But still it's much more of emotional affair than physical.
