writes: ok this may sound like a really stupid and naive question but what does it mean if your been talked to by a man and suddenly for no apparent reason he winks at you (and its a really OTT wink to boot). is it some kind of joke i'm missing i really don't know. because this happens like almost everytime i talk to this person and i'm just wondering why. I just think this man is simply flirting with you and its in his nature to be this way. If you were to make a pass at him, I'm sure he would probably run a mile and never wink at you again.

For that guy, it could mean A) he's just confirming his own thoughts by winking at you knowingly either you know it or not, B) he's doing that for good measure, nothing serious or romantic, C) depends on the conversation context, D) mhmm...
