reader, anonymous, writes (19 December 2008): We also work at the same job but different department so he knows my schedules very well and when i go on break for lunch he will show up and try to conversate with me, an this after I have told him that we cannot be friends because I don't see him that way. He still goes out of his way to talk to me. Wow, I really don't know what he wants?
I asked him an his answer is "He just wants a friendship"

Sounds like he just wants to be friends.
I think you need to take some time away from him to try and get over him.
If he dumped you then he does not get to be the one to chose when to be friends.
