What does he want? I am confused!

I wrote on here last week with the problem of "my f**k buddy wants it to be exclusive. what's going on?" he was saying he that and saying sex wasnt important like he wanted to date me, just like you guys said and last night i asked him and he said I had got it wrong and that we were friends with benefits and I said we dont have sex and he said he didnt want a relationship. but he was being like a boyfriend taking me out paying and not sleeping with me, why be like this, if you dont want to be with them in a relationship? Please sum1 help me understand because for the life of me I dont. I know before i saw what wasnt there but this time he did do just those things 2 my face and meant them. why? Please help me. Im very confused and upset.
