Question - (20 October 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 20 October 2011)
A female United States age 30-35, *oUod writes:

Well, there's this guy I know, and he's one of my best friends. We have known each other for quite a while. And I started having these feelings for him. So about 3 weeks ago, I told him how I felt. And he said he didn't feel the same way, and he wanted to stay friends. About a week later, I noticed he started to flirt with me and stuff. He told me that he thinks he loves me like more than a friend. So I guess we kinda dated for a week or so. And he said, he was confused and he broke up with me. And then the next week I asked him why we were just friends, and he said "Cause I have a girlfriend."

But still, to this day, he flirts with me and tells me I'm pretty, and compliments me. He even gave me a little kiss on the forehead today.. He says he loves hanging out with me, and I'm so awesome and funny. At the same time, he says we have to be just friends.. I'm not sure what goin on.. Does he like

me? Or is he just using me? What does he mean? @_@

Daniel the love doctor agony auntI agree with Blonde30s comments. And did he have that girlfriend when he dated you for that week?

Just know, the flirting, kissing, and complimenting has to stop. Especially now that you know he's in a relationship. Let him know that it's inappropriate- not only because he's involved with someone else, but also because it's confusing you- and slowly ruining your friendship.
