What does he mean?

Question - (24 July 2007) 3 Answers - (Newest, 24 July 2007)
A female Iceland age 36-40, anonymous writes:

If a guy starts talking about his co-workers teasing him about weddings, and the two of you talk about it (jokingly), what does that mean?

They always say that behind every joke is a grain of truth (OK, aside from the elephant jokes).

I'd appreciate a guy's Point of view on this - what would make a guy talk about this things?

well his joke is about how his coworkers have set up an office betting pool on when the wedding date will be. I don't know how to react! I'm speechless. I also found out he was recently out jewelery shopping, he let it slip, and he won't tell me what he bought.

hah, if he found this post, it would be so funny... :P

I just want him to know that I love him. Im afraid I'm misunderstanding things, though.

kenny agony auntLike you say behind every joke is a grain of truth, which could be true in this case.

I mess around with this girl at work about getting married and she keeps asking me when im going to buy the ring, and i keep saying soon. And we keep saying how romantic it would be for me to propose at the top of the eiffel tower. Ok so its only joking around, office banter if you like, but who knows she may well be the one i end up marrying!!!

Good luck x
