If he's as young as you are, he's saying that you two click and that he has feelings for you. He doesn't quite understand that three months is way too soon to be having "soul mates".
Just take it as a compliment, because he's into you. NOW, if he's pressuring you to get physical with him or do something you're not ready for, then his words are to try and seduce you. Just be careful. You are too young for sex now, and he is too. I'm not trying to be patronizing, but you wouldn't give a toddler a chainsaw, nor would you give car keys to an 8-year old, and you wouldn't suggest that two people, one of them just having reached puberty (you got there first!) start getting sexual with the raging hormones and carelessness and youth threatening pregnancy. Be careful!

He probably means it feels you were made for each other.

A

That doesn't really mean much of anything. You have a lot in-common with a lot of boys. This one fancies you.

Probably nothing, I bet he just thought it sounded cool. It obviously got you thinking...
If you really want to know, ask him.

The term soul mates is normally used when people believe the are perfect for each other. As you said "have a lot in common."
Fact is there is...it happens but not often...why? Human relationships and are not set in stone. Meaning, once you meet someone, there is no way of knowing if you will stay together for life. Some animals are soul mates. The find a mate, and never change or leave that mate until one dies.
People have to search for that special someone. There are rare moments when we find that special someone the first time and stay together for life. It does happen, but it takes a lot of work and commitment for the boy and girl to go all the way.
For now...just enjoy the feeling of love.
