Question - (25 May 2010) 2 Answers - (Newest, 26 May 2010)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

so i've been seeing this guy for a minute now and i really like him. we act like a couple, he only dates me and me likewise with him. its all good! but when first asked about a month ago, he told me he wasn't ready for a relationship. time has gone by since then and we've gotten closer. so yesterday he asked to be "exclusive" with one another. what does that mean? do i call him my boyfriend now? and if being exclusive is not the same as a relationship, whats the difference?

chigirl agony auntExlusive basically means an official relationship. But it could be he's running by different definitions, so check with him to be sure. Exclusive means you don't date, kiss or have sex with anyone else. You belong to each other and no one else.
