writes: My girlfriend and i split up 3 months ago , the last time, and the last thing she said was , can,t say Goodbye so i,ll say Goodnight , Which one is it ? If she was too upset to say Goodbye, and did not want to say Goodbye ,BUT SHE DID SAY IT . i did the no contact rule for 3 weeks after , But it did not work,as she I assume thought i was not interested in her but i was still am . I texted her after 3 weeks but she said don,t send anymore texts so i did not Now she has met someone else . She has told me via a mutual friend to move on . But i want to know did she never want to split up at the beginning . As She said can,t say Goodbye , so i,ll say Goodnight . I am confused ? Thank you .

Saying goodnight is easier, softer and easier to digest than saying goodbye- goodbye is perhaps a bit to confronting and final. Lessons the blow to the mental realisation I suppose. Whatever the reason, she wont be dwelling on it now she has found someone new. Time for you to say goodbye and find some you can actually say goodnight too. Good luck

The woman was being dramatic using those words. The message you need to heed are the words when she said don't text anymore.
Whether she meant to split up or not before you went no contact is immaterial as she is now in a new relationship.
Move on.
