If he wants you to be shaved, tell him to find a 5-year-old. Pubic hair is natural.

Do what YOU feel comfortable with girl. If a guy wants you to change your looks for him,,,,he isn't worth having.

Its not something to worry about. Its kinda like the way you style your hair or the way you dress, its a personal choice and he should accept whatever way you want it to be. there are so many things girls do down below. christina aguilera even admitted to dying her pubic hair pink one time!!! Some girls even get piercings down there!!! I too worried about this before i had sex for the first time but now that doesn't ever cross my mind. whatever you want is fine. he should be great full hes even going to get it in the first place!!!!when you do have sex hes not gonna be repulsed by it, hes hopefully gonna be so excited by what hes about to do that he doesn't even care. dont worry its really not a big deal. good luck.x

It's okay to shave it, I suppose, but at your age you have no business having sex. I'm not trying to be mean, but no one at your age is ready for the possible consequences.

Haha, OldGuy, I totally hear where you're coming from. But alas, times have changed. Maybe in 20 years young men will be saying "You still have labia majora?!" and I'll be forced to run into the hills crying and screaming over a society with no labia majora.
But I digress. You are right, many men prefer many different things, but assuming she is 15 and her boyfriend is 15, I'm willing to bet that he wouldn't know what to do with a full bush. Kind of the whole ostrich sticking it's head in the sand, if the boy can't find the hole, is it really there?
Also, as some replies have stated, I too shave for personal reasons. I live in Las Vegas and wear a bathing suit 5 months out of the year, so having hair is a big no-no for me.
So really, to the question asker, whatever floats YOUR boat will be fine.

If you don't feel comfortable asking, just trim a little of the hair to clean up a little. I got scared to ask my boyfriend and never did, but while we were making out, I wasn't thinking and he ended up fingering me and turns out, he doesn't want me to shave anyways. Just trim and clean up at first though. But it's really all about what you feel comfortable doing.

reader, anonymous, writes (31 March 2009): Jessica, I think it really depends on the guy's conditioning. I hit puberty in the 1970s when shaving was virtually unknown. Seeing pubic hair was definitely seeing something you weren't supposed to, so was (and remains) an amazing turn on for me.
I'm sure this isn't relevant to the ones coming of age now, but for me a completely natural bush is what does it for me. If it's trimmed, let alone shaved, then I'm no longer seeing something I wasn't supposed to, and some of the thrill is gone. And for me, a completely shaved woman seems to me to appear pre-pubescent, which completely turns me off.
No doubt I'm an anachronism, but there are some of us out there still. ;)

My experience with men has told me that they prefer no hair. Some don't mind a little "landing strip", which is like a mowhawk on your vagina, lol, but that's the most hair anyone has told me they're ok with.

First off, you're under the age of consent - I can't tell you not to have sex, but I advise you to wait.Second, if you're not confident enough to ask your boyfriend what he prefers, I do not think you're ready to be having sex with him.Third, go with whatever you're happy with. I shave purely for my own personal reasons - I can't stand having hair down there. I've never had any complaints, but I also know that most guys are perfectly happy so long as you just trim a bit down there.
