A female Ireland age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hi dearcupids, i have a concern about my unborn baby, im between 28 weeks + 30 weeks, i havent been given a proper due date due 2 my baby being in breech position, they havent been able 2 get a correct measurement, however today at my scan my doctor had concerns as my babys head is measuring in small, smaller than its stomach. She has booked me an appointment with a specialist at another hospital to check that everything is ok. Im not sure of what tests they will be carrying out, and what is it they are testing for, has this happened to anyone else here? If so, what does it mean that my babys head is smaller, will it be disabled, premature? Im so worried, please help!

Since you are going to be a mom you have got to fight for your interests and this question shows you are not doing that. You have to call your doctor right back and pose this question to him/her because you are not clear on the results of the consultation. Be prepared to grill your doctor in the future instead of walking away confused and perhaps misinformed and not aware of all the risks. If they brush you off get another doctor. My sister didn't know she had twins until very late in the pregnancy and one was born with cerebral palsy perhaps because she was careless due to her OBGYN not informing her of the risks she faced with twins.

I doubt that anyone would try to answer what the problem is.

I am sure they are testing to ensure that your baby is OK. It is definitely a precautionary measure.

Try to be patient until your appointment. If the appointment is too far off, try to book it earlier. Take care of yourself. Remember your feelings will affect your health, and you are trying to take care of the baby. Pray.
