A female reader, PerhapsNot United States +, writes (19 August 2011):

PerhapsNot agony auntWhat do you like about this 24 year old girl specifically? What qualities does she have that make her your "soul mate" in your eyes? Keep in mind, you have recently met her, so you really don't know her well. How certain are you that she reciprocates your feelings and would be with a married man? Has she told you she would kindly over-look all that?

If it's her appearance that is mainly attracting you, you're simply being a horn-dog. If it's some character trait, ask yourself: does my wife have this trait and to what extent does she have it? Is it a really important trait that you can't live without? I doubt it. We would all like our significant other to have some character traits that they don't have. It's part of life.

Basically you need to examine your marriage and what you feel is missing. And then you work on making it better, not chatting and lusting after another woman. If you feel you two cannot work out your issues, then you get a divorce and you can be with as many soul mates as you want.

cinc71 agony auntI think the grass "looks" greener on the other side. The best thing would probably distance yourself from the other woman. It's kind of playing with fire. Maybe you want what you can't have. Think of your kid and the life you build with your woman. Do a list of the good and the bad things it would do to your family. Good luck!
