writes:writing this to me sounds stupid but i really need some advice momentarily. So.., im 16 years old and im really shy . This is something that hasnt happened to me only that one time. About a week ago i was visiting friends in Atlanta and we were driving , we stop at a red light, which lasted ages btw xD, and this other car stopped next to us(like all the other cars, it was a two lane drivethrough) , he was some puertorican or something by the looks of him, n out of nowhere he sees me , smiles and like goes ''woohoo'' like usually when guys whistle when they see attractive girls or something, did he whistle to mock me or something?, or was it cuz he thought i looked attractive, anyways, i find this reeally annoying and i dont know what to do in those situations .

 You can either smile at him and wink, acting like you know you're hot (whether or not you believe you are) and laugh a little, knowing that he's not going to get anything from you, or you can roll your eyes and huff a little, acting like he's completely beneath you to bounce the gesture back at him. Either way, take it as a compliment.

 Guys do that to flirt, or to be pigs..you know like when you walk past a construction site filled with testosterone the guys call out "Hey, baby!". We call it cat-calling in America. Just roll your eyes, or pay them no mind. If you find them to be attractive give them a sly smile and walk away.
