Sweety Pie agony auntMy mum lets my male friend stay over, infact she even let me have this one guy overnight whilst she was away.

She wasnt bothered, because she knew we were just friends but I know he got a lecture on 'Keeping it in your pants!'

Which I thinks quite funny.

So basically, all parents are different. I think before you get into the sleepovers, get him round for tea or something first so she can see hes a nice guy. AND dont make a big deal out of it, act like a boy staying over is no worries, it happens all the time.. haha.

I also have a friend who's parents love her boyfriend, but they are assigned seperate rooms (shes 17) but when she stays at his they both sleep in his bed!

Your just gonna have to figure out what your mums views on this are- and if she doesnt allow it, its her house im afraid!

Good luck xx

I'm 20 and with someone my mom thinks is wonderful and a very trustworthy person. She trusts me enough that when I was 16 I could TELL her I was going out to parties until 2 AM and she would trust me and just let me go (for good reason, I never did anything stupid). I'm living with my boyfriend now during college and she knows that. When we come to visit she still tries to assign us separate bedrooms! You will never win this one. Give up. She is being TOTALLY reasonable with this one. It's generally considered bad parenting for a mother to let her daughter's boyfriend sleep over when she's still under 18. Sorry, I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but you're just not going to win this one.

I'm sorry to say this because it's every girl's dream for her parents to be cool with her man staying the night: But it's not likely. I don't think there is anything inthe world i could have said to my parents to allow that.

Parents do everything they can to keep their kids safe and part of that means not getting pregnant and diseased. If you end up getting either of those (TOTALLY NOT suggesting that you will but just giving you her thought proccess) then she will blame herself for encouraging overnight stays and sleepovers with boys. She will feel like a failure for not having protected you better.

So i suppose she is trying to protect not only you, but her own emotions in the future. You're almost out of high school, if you're shown age is correct, and it won't be long till you can have him at whatever place you have. Be patient and goodluck!

Your mum only has your best interests in mind. The best way to address this issue is to talk openly with your mum about it. Explain that you and your boyfriend are waiting until you are ready. Relationship and time are the only things that build trust. Do you stay at your boyfirends house overnight? Be prepared even after talking with your mum for her to say no still, but if you are open and honest with her, she will explain her reasons.

thats a "mum" thing, pretty much. you'll never get her to trust you with a guy overnight, unless she checks up on you all night.

"PENETRATE THAT VAGINA!" aha.
