Yes, it sounds like it. If you are still a teen-ager tell your mom! She is hopefully your best support system and source of information. If you are sexually active you really need to talk to her and see a doctor! If not still talk to her and you can get an over-the-counter yeast medication in the personal hygiene area.

Well, think of it this way. Is it better to avoid embarrassment that would only last a few minutes, or avoid a serious infection that can possibly affect your health and fertility? If you have no idea what it is, you also have no idea how serious it is. See a doctor.

That's it. Your mom will appreciate that you were honest with her. And you will be relieved cause you will have no more itching! Good luck hun. Tell mom and go, everything will be ok.

sounds to me like a simple case of thrush, its nothing to be embarressed about, majority of women will experience it atleast once in there life. there are many things avalidable over the counter for this which will clear it up in a matter of days, just ask your pharmacist and theyll help you.
it can be caused by anything as simple as a ph imbalance.
also if/when you become sexually active it is important to be hot on personal hygiene, as it is more common in those who are sexually active..
hope you get it sorted xx

Yeah, it's kind of awkward going to the doctor when you're young, but you do eventually get over it, as when you get a little older, you should have an annual exam down there to stay healthy.
Assuming you are not sexually active, if you have a whitish, kind of cheesy discharge, it is probably a yeast infection. You can get them at any time at any age. You can get an over-the-counter remedy such as Monistat, at your local drug store. It may cost up to $20 for such, but generics work just as well.
If you are sexually active (which I hope you aren't at your age), you might want to get checked for sexually transmitted diseases, such as chlamydia, genital warts, etc. It could also be an allergic reaction to something, such as spermicide on a treated condom.
