writes:My guy friend doesn't talk to me much! He keeps my texts and when I talked to him on IM he talked to me for a half an hour! But he only does that a few times a month. Why would he seem like a shy guy but talk a lot to his other friends. Me and him are friends but it doesn't feel like we are! What can I do to get him to talk to me a little more? I only text him a few times a week because i know that he doesn't answer me. i like him so much but I've gotten my love for him under control. He always says that were friends and he isn't mAD at me so why is he acting weird. Should I ask him? I'm afraid if I ask him why hes not talking to me if we are friends that he will ignore me more or not answer.

reader, anonymous, writes (16 September 2009): Don't tell him your feelings. He isn't ready for this. Sounds like he is ignoring you, but at the same time is trying to be polite. Don't IM him unless he does you.
If he does, IM back. Then no more IM's from you until he IM's you.

I totally get where youre coming from. Just relax and play it cool, as hard as that can be. If its bothering you that much then you should just flat out ask him what's going on. A good line to use is, "is everything okay? you've been acting kind of weird." Good luck, I wish you the best!
