reader, anonymous, writes (25 January 2009): To my knowledge breastfeeding is the best start in life that you can give to your baby, so as far as your child is concerned there are no cons, and many see it as essential.The only cons I know would be for you and they're only about conveniance and not really what I'd call cons, things like having to have a few days of your breast milk bottled and stored if you want to have a few drinks.

It's far better than the bottle and it burns SO many calories that by doing it, you are losing the baby weight far far quicker than you otherwise would. Lets face it, that is basically what the baby weight is there for.
