I've heard that the hymen can be broken by exercise... well I'm quite a sporty girl. I don't use tampoms, and when I tried to, I couldn't get it in properly... so what are the chances that I will bleed when I have sex for the first time? thanks xxx

You probably will bleed, but like Just a Girl said, everyone is different. But there is more chance of you bleeding the first time.
Take care love :) xxxx

the thing is huni every1s different. i didnt bleed untill the 4th time i had sex becasue it reli depends on the guys 'Package' and if all goes according to plan, some girls dnt ever bleed. my advice from my experience is that if you get him to finger you a few times before you actually have sex it widens the vagina and so makes it less painfull n less likely to bleed xxx take care xxx Sx xxx

Yes, you most likely will bleed a little after your first experience. It can be a bit uncomfortable too, but at least that part can be minimised. If you are worried about getting pregnant you can be tense which can make things difficult, so make sure you take things slowly and understand all about safe sex. You would be surprised how many people still dont! Make sure you know what birth control methods are right for you, then learn how to use them correctly. Speak to your doctor or practice nurse. They wont tell your parents, and are the best people to give you advice. Also use a condom no matter what method you have chosen....its better to be safe than sorry. I hope your first experience is an enjoyable one. Good luck, Skye

It really did hurt for me. make sure your boyfriend knows that first times can be very bad for us- but that you love him all the same! You need to relax and trust your boyfriend, though, not just because he loves you, but because the more tense you are, the more it could hurt. Believe me, I was tense. After this, it's going to get better with each time. It may bleed first off- but it's like a light period. (I'd put a towel under for the first time, just in case.) You'll want a feminine napkin handy for after, or you will ruin your undies/pants. Remember - sex like this (I mean giving the gift of your virginity) can do two things: In a good relationship, it'll make you two so much stronger and closer; in a bad relationship, it'll be that much harder.Make sure you really want to do this, and make sure he knows that you're not doing this on your first opportunity!!Good luck!

You probably will bleed a little bit so don't do it on your mother's white sofa. Also make sure you have lots of birth control, birth control pills (on them for at least a month)AND A CONDOM, or Spermicide foam AND A CONDOM, whatever you choose AND A CONDOM! Just make sure you really really want to lose your virginity 'cause once it's gone, it's gone forever.
