writes: HiNeed some advice really urgently. I'm in love and have very deep feelings for a girl i work with in the same department (shes 30 i'm 32). She moved into our department about 2 months ago and we've really got on very well including a few flirtious moments. This girl has worked in our company for about 6 years in a different department and i've always fancied / noticed her a lot. The problem is she is currently has a boyfriend of 8 months. I dunno what to do as I don't want to make advances given the circumstances. We are now going out for our company xmas dinner next week should i tell her how i feel or would this scare her away :(

Well, you might just want to first find out if her current boyfriend is treating her well... she may have been open to flirting with you because she wants to keep her options open?So make sure of what is going on there first, before you go spilling your guts to her, all might actually be well with her relationship, and you might have taken the harmless flirting thing a little too seriously, in which case, you dont want to be making a fool of yourself. In the event she is not happy in her relationship, then that is another matter entirely, you could then make advances and see what reception you get.Be brave, but be cautious.Hope I have been able to help in some way.Take Care and Good Luck.

Not unlucky, just shy. Ask her out and if she gives you an excuse then she's just one of those girls who flirt to see if guys are attracted to her.
