Maybe it's just how you understand relationship.
Or maybe this is what you want at this stage of your life.
You say: "i do really like spending time with but im not sure"
Are you sure about other things in your life: for instance, what you want and who you are?
Two more possible explanations are underlying emotional problems or other commitments.

 It seems to me that you're only looking for a friend. You should tell him so before you lead him on. Save the potential hurt you may cause him.
