writes: Hi, I'm 15 and have just asked someone out on an Instant, and she has said yes but it is still really akward. I hardly ever talk to her actually at my school and only really get to talk to her properly on an instant messenger. I find this easier, probably because i'm not very confident in my looks and get slightly shy when I know girls are looking at me close up. I know this sounds pathetic but its true. Anyway, I hardly ever talk to her at school and now am going out with her. We're yet to go anywhere together, and its really difficult to walk up to her in her massive group of friends and properly talk, and even when I do get the chance, I usually fluff it. On top of that I think one of her friends really dislikes me! Please give me some advice.

 If you talk to her on IM then you probably know quite a lot about her... what she likes, what she dislikes, her favourite bands and so on. Use this sort of stuff to talk to her in the flesh. Don't expect conversation to flow too easily at first, just keep it short and build it up over time until you're completely comfortable around her. Make sure that the next time you see her she is on her own. If shes not then get her on her own- ask her if she wants to take a walk with you somewhere like her next class. Then imagine your talking to her on IM and what you would say. Carry on a conversation that you had previously on IM. COmment on something she said. Start with the mundane, and more interesting conversation is sure to follow.
This girl has said yes to you, which should give you confidence that she must really like you, however you think you must look. She's obviously not superficial and likes your personality. She's probably just as shy as you.

 If you are good friends then whateva her frenz think should be of no concern for you...!!!
Give yourself some time .. talk on IM more and know each other better.. then you may decide on your next action!
