The celebrant is friends with my boyfriend's ex girlfriend so I know she'll be there as well and this isn't the first time encountering the ex, this is several times. At some point I get the feeling that he is more distant from me and always looking at her when he thinks I'm not looking, then when he turns around. He is like "what?" (not in a rude way, but just casual). Is this a sign of regret that they broke up a long time ago, or is it just that "oh here I am now, look at me I'm happier?" kind of thing. In several past engagements, I told him it was awkward around her, knowing that she had history with him. I asked him in the past if he still has feelings for the ex, he straight up said no, so this dinner thing, how am I able to act when ex comes around? I feel freaking weirded out. I can't help it.

I think you have to let him have the memories of the past and be glad he has them otherwise he would be a lesser person. However, you are his future - not her. Enjoy the glances etc. But its your thighs he will wrap himself in later. Its your kisses he will feel and you who he will wake up with, every single day.
