writes: Hi, well a few months ago I started seeing a friend of a friend who is a little younger than me (he's 18, Im 20), I'll call him Joe for the purpose of writing this. Anyway we weren't together properly because we both have busy lives and found it difficult to see each other every night, though we did speak on the phone or text each other every day. Joe is like the joker of our group of friends but at the same time he is very shy... especially around girls, never really having a girlfriend before, but when we got together everyone said how much he'd changed and how much more confident he seemed.A few weeks into seeing each other he told me he was going down to Cornwall for 2 weeks with a big group of friends and asked if I wanted to come.. because of work commitments and the short notice I couldnt go and anyway I didnt want to intrude on a boys holiday! The night before he went away I was at his house and we were really coupley and he told me that he really liked me and was falling for me... I told him the same and he said he didnt want to go away and leave me for 2 weeks but I told him not to be silly and have a good time.Anyway, he went on holiday and for the first few days I heard nothing from him, not even on my birthday. The day after my birthday I got sent a message just saying 'x x x x x' from him. I replied and told him to ring me when he got the chance because I really missed him. Later that night my phone ran out of battery but as I was staying at a friends house I couldn't charge it until the next morning. When I did turn my phone on I had about 6 missed calls from him so again texted him and told him that I would keep my phone charged incase he got the chance to call again. I heard nothing from Joe for the next week and a half while he was away and he didnt even let me know when he came home!! He was totally blanking me and only replying to certain messages that didn't involve me asking how his holiday was. I rang him a few days after he got back and he said everything was fine etc. Didn't speak to him again. On Thursday it was my friends birthday so we all went to the pub before moving onto town, Joe turned up at the pub and although he was quiet there was no awkwardness. It was later on that night that a friend told me she had been told earlier on that 'Joe met a girl in cornwall' I don't want what we had to be over and don't know what to do.As we weren't in a proper realtionship I feel I cant be mad or upset with him. And 'met a girl in cornwall' isnt exactly clear on what happened!!I just don't know what to do... or what to say to him!
