A male Canada age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My new girlfriend got home from work early and her parents were both working, and it was 10pm and stormy/windy outside, so she called me kinda spooked and said "i wish you were here with me", and i told her i would come over as long as her parents said it was alright, so she called her dad and he said it was alright, so i came right over.

We ended up watching t.v for like 30mins until i saw her keep closing her eyes for a few seconds, i asked her if she was tired and she said "yea" so i layed down on the couch and she layed down next to me and she put her head on my chest and put her arm around me and i put my arm around her and eventually we both fell asleep like that.

About an hour later her parents both got home at the same time, her dad looked fine but her mom looked pissed (im not sure if it was at us sleeping together or just somethign else), she didnt greet me like she usually does, she came in, took off her shoes and jacket grabed the remote and silently started watching t.v. I told my GF that she should go to bed, and i went home as well to sleep.

Do you think her mom was pissed at us for sleeping together? It was harmless, and it wasnt like i had my hand on her breast, lol. Maybe its a mother thing?

TELLULAH agony auntThe best way to clear things is to have a chat with her mum. Just tell her your G/F called and asked you to come over, and you hope you hadn't annoyed her. If you did then say sorry, but it was totally inocent.

For all you know, she might have had an argument with her husband, and its nothing to do with you going over.

So just have a talk to her.

I don't know. It depends on how old you are and how old her daughter is and how long you have been dating. If her daughter is still in high school, or if you have only been dating a short while i could see her being a little pissed.

More so than the fact that you were sleeping on the couch next to each other, i think she was probably pissed that you were there at all. It was late at night and they didn't know you were coming over. then they walk in to find you both on the couch.

More so than even that though is probably not that she was pissed at what she saw, but pissed at what she imagined was happening before they got home. From a mother's perspective, she probably saw you two laying on the couch and even though what you were doing was innocent enough she probably thought immediately that you two had been fooling around or having sex before they got home. that is probably why she was pissed, if she was pissed. the thought that you were doing something not so innocent before she found you there asleep.
