Although we used a condom the second time, the first time we did not have one, and used I guess what is called "pulling out". And now I am concerned about being pregnant. I got my period about a week later on the 20th. I took a pregnancy test a month after we had intercourse, which showed up negative. I realize that this is was for several reason dangerous behavior and since have been using latex condoms. But How soon are you able to tell if you are pregnant? Also I hear stories about people being pregnant and not knowing it. Is it possible for me to be pregnant, have a period, and test negatve on two pregnancy test. I really am worried about the timing, because it will limit my available options.

Get another EARLY pregnancy test. You will never get a false positive but you can get a false negative. Some of these tests are sensitive enough to detect the hormones of pregnancy as early as a couple of days after a missed period.
To answer your question -- yes -- you had unprotected sex, therefore you COULD possibly be pregnant.

Go to a doctor, this is the only thing that will put your mind to rest.
