Just sit him down and tell him exactly how you feel, if he runs then he runs but you have to put your cards on the table. He might think you are playing it cool and don't want anything more. Get him told! You might be surprised just how he reacts, Let us all know how it goes and i wish you well.

 I'm in the same situation as u... but hes in a relationship, but wants out, so hes leaving her for me after xmas! I fell in love with him but didnt know how to say it, luckily he said it first!
You should tell him how you feel, coz if u dont u wont know how hes feeling! Tell him that you enjoy his company! Tell him the truth, he might feel the same way!
