writes:I am 25 ,,me and my ex-boyfriend have 1 child,,we were together 5 years,, it was a relationship where he had a drink problem which i stood by him through while he was in rehab and all of it! He was abusive and everything and i dont know why i still love him i honestly dont i think that i have to be sick,, I walked out 3 months ago but he still phones me every weekend telling me he loves me and all this crap and basically phones me everyday! He is meeting someone now that he tells me he feels nothing for and wants me and the child to be together,,but he cant break up with her because she is too freaky and he enjoys his freedom,,, im in bits now and know i have to get him out of my life but it is so hard because i cant talk to anyone,, his family dont even act the same with me all for him giving him money to drink every weekend just so they have peace.... but yet he still rings looking to come home on the weekends and wondering how i can be so hurtfull and thinks he owns me when he gives me 50 euro a week for the child when he earns over 500 a week when all i get is 200 a week and have more going out than coming in.......hello how can i get rid of him before i go insane?

reader, anonymous, writes (25 July 2009): change ur mobile number, and go thru the courts for maintenance. you've gotta get on with your life. it will get better in time - trust me i have 2 children under 2 with my ex and he was violent and controlling and he knew everytime i finished with him i'd get back with him until i broke all contact. use his family as a go between for arrangements for contact with your child - you have no reason to see him or speak to him if someone will act as your go between. pick up the pieces and get on with your life whilst your still young and have plenty of life left to live - you can do it!!! good luck!xxx
