My personal experience is that if the third person is a woman, things usually get complicated. Women do equate sex with emotions (sorry but we do) and guys are just more straightforward. I would only consider threesomes with two men and one woman to ensure your relationship doesn't get complicated. I also wouldn't want to build up a non-sexual 'getting to know you' relationship with the third person - after all it is just sex. Much better to keep it non-emotional and business-like. I'm glad to hear you both enjoyed it though and wish you well.

reader, anonymous, writes (11 January 2008): Well if you go into this kind of thing full time I think you need to be aware of the possible consequences one of which is getting emotionally involved. I'm not into the idea of it myself but also consider the health aspects very carefully too. This 'other woman' might get a taste for it elswhere and the 'sharing' could be pretty widespread.
