How can you say you played it cool? You ended up in bed with him, cmon you are a woman in your thirties, surely you must have known the score sleeping with him on the first night. You made yourself to easy by sleeping with him on the first night, if you contact him and he does not get in touch. Then I am afraid he just used you and got what he wanted.
Next time you date a guy and you really want to get connected, then I suggest you hold out as long as possible before you have sex with him. Some men are not really emotionally connected when it comes to sex, where us girls fall for their charms and wear rose coloured spectacles and the guys have their beer goggles on.... If you know what I mean.

Sounds like it, offcourse he could simply have lost your number and not be able to contact you.
"played it cool after a few drinks we ended up in bed"
Must be a new definition of playing it cool.
Contact him, most likely he played you, but what have you got to loose?

He maybe thinking your easy and no good for a long term relationship or he maybe just playing it cool so he doesn't appear too keen. Just wait but don't chase him, if you do it will be the start of the run around.
Hope this helps
