reader, anonymous, writes (17 February 2009): No offense here, but if you're so certain that you love each other and everything, you shouldn't have to come on an advice site and ask strangers for topics to bring up with your girlfriend. How should anyone know what you guys should talk about except you? Do neither of you have any interests? Don't you make plans to do things and talk to each other while you are doing those things? I find it difficult to talk to people i don't know, but the people I love? Well that should be easy!

I'm glad to hear you're not looking for sexual advice. It's very refreshing to see that. What if you talk about sports, fashions, school, things you've noticed about each other, projects in school, teachers, food, interests. You know, just start with the basics. It's generally good if you have something in common and not just a feeling for each other. Also, tread carefully and enjoy life, don't toss things away or presume you know you love each other. Love is more than a feeling and it's something you prove and develop over time.
