My girlfriend and I both have very short tempers but we are madly in love with one another. Is there a good way to appease her, or do I just have to deal with it? I fear for the longevity of our relationship.

A female reader, cupidus Canada +, writes (12 April 2011):

cupidus agony auntHad this problem with a past RS myself.

I bought foam baseball bats.

Bring it on out come the bats. Lots of laughs, less arguments. Even put them in the car. Too funny.

We did break up, but not because we fought alot.

Buy the bats, foam bats!!

janniepeg agony auntYou both have short tempers. If you know how to appease yourself you can appease her also. Calm down first before talking. You can take a shower, take a walk or listen to some soothing music. The longevity of the relationship is more important being right.
