It is possible there will be no problems, or no greater risks than two non-related persons. However, the reason why babies from relatives are not advised is that certain diseases and conditions tend to run in families. You can do some research and find out what these things are for your family - I am sure your mother or another relative on her side of the family would know. On top of that you can have genetic counselling - ask your doctor - who can identify problems.
