writes:i have been in a relationship for 4 years and i love this person very much and we have been through so many ups and downs. I was sick for almost a year he has been battling a drug problem which is a very big issue and i know that. my problem is we have huge communication issues and we have tried to work on those. my father does not like him which is an obstacle that i am willing to work on and his family i get along with very well. we recently tried to help my brother who has a heroin addiction and that put a wedge in our relationship not becasue of my brother but because my boyfriend was not emotionally there there for me the way that i needed him to be. sometime he talks down to me and i don't realize that until someone points it out to me and recently we tried again to work it out and we were out at a friends house and he embarrsed me to the point that i had to get up and leave because i was in tears. i want to work things out with him but i have to be the one to make the first move and i don't know if i should i don't know where to go from here i need an outside opinion because i do love him very much and i want things to work out please help me thank you for taking the time to read this. I know exactly where you are coing from. When poeple meet into a marriage they exepct everything to be hunk-y dory and there a re set sessions week in which to 'air grievancees and lay down rules for compromise,surely to set the standard counter
or the folliwing weeks. What doesn't help is when your males counterpart decided he wants nothing to do with this petty crap.
I have argued for months over why my boyfriend has to alawys have the upper hads in everything.He does not compromine, he does not listen, he does not reason. Intead he contacntly puts me down by telling me his
exes were better thn me that Im useless and everything that went wrong with us is etirely my faulht.
