writes: I've dropped a bollock! I was friends with a girl and I've asked her if we could ever be more than that. She said no but she also said that "maybe we shouldn't hang out as much" which basically means "get lost! I don't want to be your friend any more!". People say that the best way to get a girlfriend is to make friends first. But when you ask them out they don't want to be your friend. What am I doing wrong? I'm really scared that I've lost her friendship. Was I wrong to ask her?

You weren't wrong to ask her, it's better than wondering, you should lose this woman, move on. Anything you do now will make you look desperate. She was not a good friend, or she would still want to be friends, at least, and care about your feelings. She dropped you like a bad habit so forget her.
