All my mates are married or in relationships. Do any of you know of good singles holidays, or friendship clubs you can recommend? I've checked out Solos, and a couple of other companies, bit I've never met anyone who has gone on one of these holidays, so I'm not sure, especially as they are quite expensive! Also, are any of you members of friendship or singles clubs, and can you recommend any good ones? Cheers.

I've thought about doing as you suggest, but am a bit put off by the Shirley Valentine thing! Dont get me wrong, I'd be willing to try it, and am a quite outgoing friendly person, it just sounds a bit scary though. I'd be grateful for any ideas you might have about destinations, types of hotels and holidays and so on. Any advice really would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Whilst I've never been on holiday alone I have always met plenty of people who have gone away without anyone. Are you talking about "package holidays" or more like travelling? If you are wanting to go to a "sun" destination, it's better you buy a flight seperately and book in to a hotel seperately. You will QUICKLY meet friends in the hotel and around the area. People who go alone, assuming they have the courage to talk to people and make friends, usually end up having a GREAT time. Let me know if you want any more details.
Peter
