writes: Hello- my questions is not a relationship question.. This question is for the women on here.. I get my period every 4 to 5 months..and when I do get it its really heavy.. And I never know when I'm going to get it again. Does anyone know why this happens?

Could be a hormonal problem, could be other things, but anything that it is you need to see your doctor to find out because it's a sign something is wrong.

reader, anonymous, writes (27 December 2011): I don;t know why it happens, I suggest you go and see a doctor. While I admit I would love if they only came every 4-5 months in theory, in reality I would be at the doctors checking it out, because it's unusual. I used to get mine whenever they felt like coming it could be normal for a few months, then go to skipping every other month, I went to the doctor and was sent to gyno. Get it checked out, just to be on the safe side. Good Luck
