Vaginal dryness is causing me problems...

A female Canada age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I am only 38 but I am going through menopause early. I am not going to have to take hormone replacements, because things seem to be going fairly well for me (meaning, my periods stopped about 2 years ago and I am otherwise healthy and fine. But the hot flashes started this year. Yuk! I can live with that, but it's hard to deal with vaginal dryness. It's so frustrating when I know I'm really, really in the mood for sex but my body doesn't seem to respond to stimulation the way it used to. (I guess this is what erectile dysfunction is like for men).... Lubes work but they're really sticky. And if you use one, you can't do oral (or do they have edible K-Y now?)....I worry that my fiance is getting frustrated. Anyone have this problem and can offer good suggestions??? Any info would be helpful. I don't want to take pills.

Not perfect but Liquid Silk brand lube is great. It comes in a pump bottle and easy access, though I've glopped it on places I've not meant to before (clumsy me). I try to time using the stuff for AFTER oral activities (smile), but it does not taste too bad.

It's a great product with little taste and it does not stain the sheets or cause any yeast infections or burning like some of the silicon and other oily stuff. It has alot of water and works great as a lube. You can find it on Ebay and other places. I really like the pump bottle!

Another_Kapiti agony auntOral sex should work, spit is a natural lube! Maybe you've tried this, but you're still too dry for penetration?

LazyGuy agony auntThere are edible lubes, it might take a bit of searching to find one that is to your tastes. Don't expect a taste treat. Try durex's version. It should be available globally unlike some others.

A google for natural lubes might also bring up some results worthy of trying.

If you think K-Y is your only option, you REALLY need to go into a sex-shop. It might open a whole new world.
