Used to flirt with him non-stop. Should I tell him I like him?

A female United States age 30-35, *ni22 writes:

I've used to flirt with this guy, a lot. Nonstop flirtation, texting, talking, etc...One day he asked my brother: what do you think about we as a family?

I did not see that one coming, and I thought that he finally would take a step.. But we lost contact, because I was going to study abroad for a year and we haven't spoken now that I am back.

The point is that I know that he liked me, and I like him a lot because he is a good guy, but idk how to talk to him again without seeing me so desperate. I'm willing to tell him that I like him but do not know how. I know he is shy, but I don't want to be like: Hi, How are you? I like you. Bye! I could do that.

I really want to tell him, because I don't want to miss any other chance in life.

wrathykins agony auntJust simply message him and ask him how he is! Nothing desperate about that! Just keep the conversation going, until you feel like it's the perfect point to say I like you.
