Exchanged numbers and been texting back and forth since. Thing is I gave him a wrong name. Not completely different from mine, but enough. I also put this made up name as my username. Now, I don't know what to say to him why I did it. But I need to tell him my name. I know it was stupid, but because of my job I didn't want anything coming back to me on there.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys :) x

You're actually encouraged NOT to give your real details online. I internet date and see some weird and wonderful names on there e.g MuscleHunk or HotCandy or Brad Pitt and no it isn't the actor either...lol
Or some guys msg me and say "Hi this is John and I saw your profile...." Something like that. I also tend to use a fake name online but when I get chatting to a guy I like i'll tell him my real first name, but that's it. You have'nt done anything wrong hun. I'm sure he'll be fine with it.
