I've always gone to the toilet after sex and I've never had a problem with anything like that, that might be because of always going to the toilet afterwards or it could just be that I'm not someone that suffers from infections.
I've always believed that it is good to go to the toilet after sex as to clear out anything and to clean up afterwards.

That's not a fact, no. If you can pee after sex, do. If you can't or don't need one, don't worry about it. As Leah says, it has been given as advice but it's not imperative.

No not exactly, some women i myself included have bouts of cystitus which is a urine infection and can be very uncomfortable and painfull, doctors always say to prevent it in the future is to uranate after sexual intercourse as this clears any bacteria that may have traveled up into your bladder which can in some women cause a uriniary tract infection..i would advise you to do so just incase it could occur..but some women don't bother..
