A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Ok i feel bad for even doing this. I have been dating my boyfriend for over 2 and a half years but we have had our ups and downs. hes 3 years older than me and starting a full time job, while im still in college. we've gotten in huge fights before, kinda broken up and gotten back together. he treats me really well but then sometimes he says rude things or makes comments that really hurt my feelings. he just makes me feel like i wont be as good as him. but dont get me wrong its not all the time that happens. I just dont know if the good outweighs the bad. I get crushes on other boys and i feel bad about it but at the same time i'm always asking myself "what if?" im so young and i want to see whats out there but i have invested so much of my life in him. i dont know what to do. i dont want to be unhappy in 10 years.

please dont be stuck in a relationship, get yourself out and enjoy it, 2 and a half years isnt long, you dont want to be saying "if only" in 22 years.
