Hey everyone I was with this girl for 3 years I recently found out nearly a year ago she was pregnant when we decided to seperate which she knew about. according to what she told me anywyas. she wont let me see the baby. all i know is I supposedly have a daughter, which im not doubting her due to the fact she hasnt never lied to me but she started keeping things after our decision to part ways. i still love her. i had a dream the night before last, and oh it was so amazing! its like the first time we kissed only in a strange environment and settings and it was longer. I do wanna know my daughter and everything, but we lost contact, we've changed jobs, phone numbers and residence. she knows what city I am in, and she knows tha its small. shes been here before. shes in New York, im in texas near houston. I met her up there. IM originally from there basically, and i wanna go back one day soon. does anyone think I should try to find her or not?

Samutsen agony auntI think this is the right thing to do, isn't it. It is your right, it is your daughters natural, legal and emotional right.

In fact I think it is your responsibility to make sure your kid knows her dad, and he is there for her.

A reader, anonymous, writes (10 December 2007):

Well you have to understand that she made a decision without you. I dont think you should worry about your relationship with her but for the kid. If you do try to find her, you should talk about being in the childs life if thats what you want. Maybe she didnt tell you because she thought you werent up for it or your relationship wasnt to good...
