This is not guy speak. It's just plain rude.
You look great when you get dolled up, but without the fancy hair and make up you're below average. That's what he means.
A
reader, anonymous, writes (15 April 2012): OP is it possible that was a bad attempt at a joke? Or perhaps he meant it in the way that you look amazing when dolled up but just completely said it in the wrong way?
I say you ask him what he meant by that before thinking him to be a jerk. We all say horrendously stupid stuff sometimes, if that was just a really bad attempt at a compliment then maybe he can be forgiven.
I once told my girlfriend I thought her new hair cut was beautiful and "definitely much better" than her last one. Obviously instead of thanking me for the compliment she decided to interrogate me on what was wrong with her last hair cut. She's not insecure or anything but they way I said what I did made it sound that way. It just came out wrong.

1. Get dolled up like you never have before
2. Dump him
3. Find a real man who will say you look gorgeous first thing in the morning

I concur with the other Aunts. It means that you are only good enough for him when you are all dolled up, otherwise you don't make the grade. And it means you need another BF.

Means several things.
1. He's an idiot.
2. He's either way to young, or way to immature for you if he used the word blehh.
3. He's an idiot.

It means he's trying to get you to break up with him. No, seriously, it means he thinks you're not spending enough time wearing makeup and dressing up. I don't think I'd keep this one. You'd have to get up before he does and get all made up every day before he opened his eyes. I'd wait for the guy who thinks you are gorgeous in the morning without makeup

That he wants you to look your best 24/7.
And that he is an ass.
